On submission to a participating journal, select to preprint on Authorea. Once screened at the journal, your work is posted immediately.

Once posted as a preprint, your work is given a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) — making it citable and discoverable from day one.

Get published in a refereed journal

Track the status of your paper as it goes through peer review. When published, your preprint automatically links to the published version of record.
